Privacy Policy

1. The short version

You can read every question, run every code example, and use the SQL Playground and Big O game without creating an account or giving us any personal information. Creating a free account only unlocks progress tracking across devices, and requires just an email address. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not process payments because the site is free.

2. What we collect

We never ask for a password we don't need, a phone number, a physical address, or payment details, because the site has nothing to buy.

3. Third party services

InterviewPrep runs on a small set of external services, each handling a specific job. We chose providers that don't sell data to advertisers.

• Supabase — stores your account email and progress data if you sign in. Protected by row level security, meaning your data is only readable by your own account.
• Google OAuth — optional sign in method. Google shares your basic profile info with us if you choose this option; we don't see your Google password.
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymous session analytics (heatmaps, scroll depth) to see which parts of a page are actually useful. No personal identifiers are collected.
• Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights — anonymous, privacy friendly page view and performance metrics. No cookies, no cross site tracking.

4. Cookies and local storage

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage to remember two things: your login session (if you're signed in) and, for guests, your question progress on the device you're using. Clearing your browser data removes this instantly. Progress is only saved to our servers if you're signed in.

5. Your rights and deleting your data

You can delete your account and everything tied to it at any time from your account page, or by emailing 2004ojassharma@gmail.com. Requests are handled within a few days. Since we collect the bare minimum to begin with, there usually isn't much to delete beyond your email and progress records.

6. Children's privacy

InterviewPrep is intended for developers preparing for technical interviews and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Significant changes will also be noted on the blog.
